Airtel
Nigeria has hosted senior officials of the Nigerian Communications Commission
and key industry stakeholders at its data centre facility in Lekki, Lagos, as
part of efforts to enhance regulatory collaboration and showcase its network
infrastructure capabilities.

The
delegation included NCC Board Chairman Idris Olorunnimbe, Executive Vice
Chairman Aminu Maida, members of the Commission’s board and executive
management, as well as the Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecoms
Operators of Nigeria, Engr. Gbenga Adebayo.
The
familiarisation visit provided an opportunity for Airtel Nigeria to present its
ongoing investments in expanding network capacity, improving resilience, and
meeting the rising demand for data services across the country.
Discussions
during the visit also focused on the need to safeguard critical
telecommunications infrastructure, which continues to underpin Nigeria’s
digital economy and broader economic development.

Industry
stakeholders highlighted the importance of sustained engagement between
operators and regulators to ensure alignment on national priorities and to
support the continued evolution of Nigeria’s connectivity ecosystem.
Airtel
Nigeria noted that such engagements are key to strengthening cooperation within
the sector and ensuring that infrastructure development keeps pace with the
country’s growing digital needs.
