Niger’s
Minister of Communication and New Information Technologies, Adji Ali Salatou,
has held a series of high-level bilateral meetings with Algerian officials on
the sidelines of the Global Africa Tech event in Algeria, aimed at advancing
strategic cooperation between the two countries.

During
the engagements, the minister met with Algeria’s Minister of Posts and
Telecommunications, the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups, and
Micro-Enterprises, the Director General of the Algerian Agency for Cooperation
and International Solidarity, and the Minister of Communication.
The
discussions focused on finalizing key cooperation agreements identified during
the recent visit of Niger’s President, Abdourahamane Tiani, to Algeria, as well
as outcomes from the Great Joint Cooperation Commission meeting held in Niamey.
The
meetings form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and
accelerate the implementation of joint initiatives in areas such as
telecommunications, digital innovation, and economic development.

Officials
emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and coordination to
translate agreements into tangible projects that support national and regional
development objectives.
The
engagements at Global Africa Tech underscore a shared commitment by Niger and
Algeria to deepen partnerships and leverage digital technologies as a driver of
economic transformation.
