Global
Citizen Founder and CEO, Hugh Evans has met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame
ahead of the Move Afrika: Kigali 2026 event, highlighting Rwanda’s role in
advancing pan-African music and cultural initiatives.

The
meeting underscored the collaboration between Global Citizen and the Rwanda
Development Board (RDB) to establish a touring circuit across Africa, aimed at
strengthening local production capacity, creating jobs, and providing
opportunities for international artists to perform on the continent.

Evans
praised Rwanda’s leadership and partnership in bringing the Move Afrika
initiative to life, emphasizing the broader economic and cultural impact of the
program for local communities.
The
event at BK Arena is set to showcase the potential of pan-African collaboration
