MTN
Benin has hosted a leadership immersion initiative known as “CEO of the Day
2026,” allowing a participant to experience executive decision-making within
the telecommunications company.
The
programme saw Nashata step into the role of chief executive for the day, taking
part in a series of high-level engagements designed to provide insight into
corporate leadership and strategic management.

During
the experience, the participant chaired an executive committee meeting, met
with customers, engaged with one of the company’s key vendors and visited the
organisation’s innovation laboratory, where startups are developing new
technology solutions.
The
initiative is led by the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Benin, Uche Ofodile,
who said the programme aims to provide participants with first-hand exposure to
the complexity of leadership and the diverse factors that influence business
decisions.
According
to Ofodile, the participant shared reflections on the experience, noting that
the range of considerations involved in leadership decision-making was one of
the most striking aspects of the role.

The
leadership experience is expected to continue with additional engagements,
including meetings with employees and other stakeholders across the business.
MTN Benin says the programme is designed to help participants gain practical
insights into executive leadership and organisational governance.
