Lakipay
has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered super app designed to
integrate financial technology and digital services into a single platform for
users in Ethiopia.
The
platform was introduced by fintech entrepreneur Habtamu Tadesse and developed
in partnership with Oromia International Bank. The application is powered by
Ras-AI, an intelligence-driven system designed to support prompt-based
interactions for digital payments, account management, and other financial
services.

According
to the developers, the Lakipay Super App brings together a range of digital
services including payments, commerce, property management, school management,
job services, and online events within a unified digital ecosystem.
The
platform also incorporates features such as digital billing, crowdfunding
services, e-commerce functions, and gaming, enabling users to manage multiple
personal and business activities through a single mobile interface.
A
key feature of the application is the integration of artificial intelligence
through Ras-AI, which allows users to interact with the system through
intuitive prompts to manage transactions and services securely.
The
platform also introduces video commerce supported by augmented reality
technology, enabling consumers to visualize products before making purchases.

To
support the integration of digital and physical retail systems, Lakipay has
also signed a memorandum of understanding with Lani Global, a provider of
point-of-sale and cash register technology. The partnership aims to link the
digital platform with retail infrastructure to support businesses and
merchants.
Developers
say the super app is intended to expand access to digital financial services
and support Ethiopia’s growing fintech ecosystem by creating an integrated
platform for payments, commerce, and digital engagement.
