A
delegation from Imperial College London has visited the DIPPER Lab at the Kwame
Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi to explore
opportunities for collaboration in digital research, innovation, and
institutional partnership with the university’s Department of Computer
Engineering.

The
visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international research
cooperation and engage with scientists and engineers working on digital
technologies and emerging innovations. Discussions during the engagement
focused on potential areas of collaboration including joint research projects,
innovation development, and knowledge exchange.
The
delegation was led by Majid Ezzati, Academic Director for Imperial Global
Ghana, who noted that the visit aimed to build connections with researchers and
identify opportunities where both institutions could work together on
technology-driven research and innovation. He explained that the engagement
would help Imperial College London better understand the work being undertaken
at the DIPPER Lab and within the department, particularly research focused on
translating scientific ideas into practical digital technologies and solutions.

Also
part of the Imperial delegation was Amma Boakye-Danquah, Strategic Adviser at
Imperial College London. The team was received by Eric Tutu Tchao, Scientific
Director of the DIPPER Lab and Head of the Department of Computer Engineering
at KNUST. Other faculty members present included Deputy Scientific Director of
the lab Andrew Selasi Agbemenu, Programme and Training Coordinator Henry
Nunoo-Mensah, and Akyana Britwum from the College of Science.
Officials
said the engagement is expected to open new pathways for collaborative research
and digital innovation between the two institutions while strengthening global
academic partnerships in technology development.
