The National Cyber
Security Authority (Rwanda) and the Rwanda
Information Society Authority have concluded the first cohort of a
cybersecurity training programme for judicial operators under the Rwanda
Digital Acceleration Project.

The training brought together 100 participants
including judges, prosecutors, investigators and lawyers, with sessions held at
CyberHub Rwanda and HangaHub Muhanga. The programme was designed to
strengthen the ability of judicial professionals to handle cybercrime-related
cases as digital threats continue to evolve.
Participants received training in areas such as
cybercrime investigations, digital evidence management and digital forensics,
equipping them with technical knowledge required to address cases involving
digital technologies and online activities.

Officials
said the initiative forms part of broader national efforts to build
institutional capacity and ensure that Rwanda’s legal and judicial systems are
better prepared to deal with cyber-related offences as the country advances its
digital transformation agenda.
