The
MTN Foundation has completed Phase 7 of its ICT and Business Skills Training
Programme, equipping 5,980 young entrepreneurs across eight states in Nigeria
with digital and business development skills aimed at helping them expand their
enterprises.
The
programme concluded with a closing ceremony held in Abuja, where participants,
stakeholders and programme partners gathered to celebrate the achievements of
the young entrepreneurs who completed the training.

During
the event, 600 top-performing participants were recognised for their
outstanding performance and awarded prizes and equipment to support the growth
of their businesses.
The
ceremony also featured a panel discussion focused on overcoming fear in
entrepreneurship, providing participants with insights and practical guidance
on navigating challenges in building and sustaining businesses.
Organisers
noted that the initiative is designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial
capacity of young people by equipping them with practical digital competencies
and business management skills.

Participants
also took a pledge during the event to apply the knowledge gained responsibly
and use their skills to create positive impact within their communities.
According
to the foundation, the training programme forms part of its broader efforts to
support youth empowerment and contribute to Nigeria’s growing digital economy
by investing in the development of entrepreneurial talent.
