Safaricom Ethiopia hosts Ethiopian Space Science Society

Ethiopia Telecommunications PLC has hosted a delegation from the Ethiopian
Space Science Society (ESSS) at its offices to discuss opportunities for
collaboration in advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
(STEM) education and innovation.
During the meeting, Dr. Andualem Admassie, Chief of
External Affairs at Safaricom Ethiopia, underscored the importance of
strengthening partnerships between leading technological and scientific
institutions. He noted the company’s commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s
digital transformation agenda while promoting initiatives that inspire young
students and professionals in science and technology.
The ESSS
delegation highlighted the society’s contributions to national space
infrastructure development, its extensive public outreach initiatives, and the
breadth of its nationwide membership.
Discussions
focused on potential collaborations in STEM education, innovation programs, and
public engagement in science, reflecting a shared vision to advance Ethiopia’s
technological and scientific capabilities.
