The
government of Morocco has inaugurated the JAZARI AI & Industry X.0 Institute following the
signing of a constitutive agreement aimed at strengthening the country’s
artificial intelligence and digital industry ecosystem.
The
agreement was signed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade Morocco, the Ministry
of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Morocco and the Ministry
of Economy and Finance Morocco in collaboration with several academic institutions,
including the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, Sidi
Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Moulay Ismail University Meknes and Al
Akhawayn University.

The
initiative is designed to support Morocco’s transition toward Industry X.0 by
promoting research, innovation and stronger collaboration between universities
and the industrial sector.
Officials
indicated that the institute will play a key role in advancing artificial
intelligence development while strengthening the country’s national innovation
ecosystem.
The
project is also expected to enhance Morocco’s technological sovereignty and
reinforce its position as a regional hub for digital industry and artificial
intelligence.
