Ghana, through its Sustainable Energy for Climate Protection II (SE4C II)
project, has strengthened institutional capacity in the country’s energy sector
by handing over 36 laptops to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the
Energy Commission. The initiative aims to enhance data management, technical
training, and overall service delivery within key energy institutions.

The
handover, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Green
Transition, will support the training and skills development of technicians and
engineers at the ECG Training Centre. Officials noted that equipping energy
institutions with improved digital tools is critical for advancing Ghana’s
energy transition and building a resilient, future-ready sector.

The
SE4C II project is an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic
Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ in partnership with
Ghana’s Ministry of Energy and Green Transition. The project seeks to promote
efficiency, sustainability, and capacity development across the country’s
energy ecosystem.
