Gebeya has announced a strategic partnership with InterNetX, a European domain registrar and part of the IONOS Group, to enable domain registration directly within Gebeya’s digital platforms, expanding access to online tools for African entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses.

The partnership will integrate InterNetX’s AutoDNS platform into Gebeya’s ecosystem, allowing users to search, purchase and manage domain names using local payment methods. The feature will be available through Gebeya platforms including Jitume AI, an AI services marketplace, and Dala AI, a creator studio designed for digital entrepreneurs.

According to the companies, the initiative is intended to address a persistent barrier within Africa’s growing digital economy, where many entrepreneurs struggle to secure domain names due to international credit card requirements and foreign currency payment restrictions.

Gebeya currently supports more than 90,000 users across its platforms, many of whom have highlighted the difficulty of purchasing professional domains as a key obstacle to building an online presence. Through the integration, users will be able to complete domain registration, SSL provisioning and website setup within a single workflow using local currencies and mobile money payments.

Gebeya Chief Executive Officer Amadou Daffe said the partnership supports the company’s broader goal of building a digital infrastructure for Africa’s service economy and enabling entrepreneurs to establish credible online identities.

InterNetX Chief Executive Officer Elias Rendón Berger said the collaboration combines InterNetX’s domain infrastructure with Gebeya’s understanding of African markets and local payment systems, making it easier for businesses to launch secure and professional digital platforms.

The integration will also support Gebeya’s expansion plans as the company works toward a target of one million subscribers by providing users with a broader suite of tools to support digital business growth across Africa.
