Communications Authority of Kenya interacts with BBC News Africa on media and technology developments

The Communications Authority
of Kenya (CA) Director General, David Mugonyi, held a courtesy meeting with BBC
News Africa Regional Director, Juliet Njeri, to discuss collaboration and
shared interests in Kenya’s rapidly evolving communications and media sector.
The discussions focused on
the Authority’s regulatory priorities, policy environment, and emerging
challenges in the era of social media and artificial intelligence. The meeting
also highlighted BBC News’ ongoing investments in Kenya and across Africa, as
well as its contribution to fostering a responsible, sustainable, and vibrant
media ecosystem.
Both parties emphasized the
importance of continued dialogue and collaboration to support innovation,
responsible reporting, and the development of Kenya’s digital and media
landscape.
