Raxio Data Centres marks International Women’s Day by promoting women in technology

Raxio Data Centres has marked International Women's Day by celebrating the contributions of women across its operations and highlighting the importance of gender inclusion in the technology sector.

The company noted that women across its engineering, operations, commercial and leadership teams continue to play a key role in supporting the infrastructure that powers businesses, financial institutions, governments and digital services across East Africa.

As part of the celebrations, held under the theme “Powering Her Potential,” the company engaged with young women pursuing careers in engineering, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other technology fields. The discussions focused on career opportunities, professional experiences and the future of women in the technology industry.

Participants shared insights and asked questions about navigating careers in technology, while company representatives encouraged young women to pursue roles in digital infrastructure and emerging technologies.

Raxio Data Centres said empowering women with the necessary skills, opportunities and leadership roles will help strengthen the region’s technology sector and support the growth of Africa’s digital economy.
