Orange Business Senegal and
the Autonomous Port of Dakar (SONAPAD) have signed a strategic partnership
aimed at transforming the port into a regional hub of efficiency, connectivity,
and resilience.

The agreement focuses on
three key priorities: modernizing port infrastructure with world-class
connectivity, accelerating operational performance through digitized payment
systems, and securing critical systems to ensure uninterrupted business
continuity.
As a central pillar of
Senegal’s economy, the Port Autonome de Dakar handles the majority of the
country’s trade flows. The collaboration with Orange Business Senegal is
intended to position the port as a “Smart Port” of reference in West Africa,
enhancing competitiveness on both sub-regional and international levels.

Officials from both
organizations emphasized that this partnership reflects a commitment to
leveraging advanced technology to support national economic growth and
strengthen the port’s role in facilitating trade and commerce across the
region.
