Global has entered into a $10 million partnership with the United Nations
Industrial Development Organization to implement the Adaptation SMEs Innovation
Facility, a five-year initiative aimed at supporting climate adaptation
enterprises in emerging markets.
The
programme, supported by the Adaptation Fund under the Adaptation Fund Climate
Innovation Accelerator partnership, is designed to assist early-stage
entrepreneurs and growth-stage small and medium-sized enterprises developing
solutions to climate-related challenges.

Under
the collaboration, participating enterprises will receive structured,
performance-based support to strengthen business models and scale practical
adaptation solutions. Target sectors include climate-resilient agriculture,
water management systems, local infrastructure and services that enable
communities to better manage climate risks.
The
facility combines venture acceleration services, milestone-based grant
financing, environmental and social safeguards and knowledge-sharing
mechanisms. Organizers said the objective is to link climate finance more
directly with on-the-ground implementation in vulnerable communities.
The
agreement was finalized in Vienna during the Climate Adaptation and Industrial
Resilience Forum 2026, which brought together international delegates to
advance strategies for resilience and sustainable industrial development.

BFA
Global stated that it will work with entrepreneurs, investors, governments and
ecosystem partners to expand climate adaptation innovation and strengthen
resilience efforts globally.
