MWC26: MTN CEO meets Spanish leaders at MWC Barcelona 2026 opening dinner

Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita has met with the King of Spain and the
President of Spain during the opening dinner of MWC Barcelona 2026, where he
attended in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of the GSMA.
The
engagement took place at the start of the annual global connectivity
conference, which marks 20 years of hosting the event in Barcelona. Mupita
expressed appreciation to the organisers of MWC Barcelona and the city for two
decades of convening industry leaders, policymakers and technology innovators.
MTN
Group is represented by a strong delegation at this year’s conference, with
discussions focused on key industry themes including artificial intelligence
and agentic AI.
The
event brings together stakeholders from across the digital ecosystem to explore
advancements shaping the future of connectivity and digital transformation.
