Airtel Kenya leadership meets President Ruto on digital transformation and financial inclusion

The leadership of Airtel Kenya has held a courtesy meeting with President William Samoei Ruto to discuss opportunities to accelerate Kenya’s digital transformation and strengthen financial inclusion.

The meeting was attended by Airtel Group Chief Executive Officer Sunil Taldar, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Ashish Malhotra, and Legal and Regulatory Director Joy N. Discussions focused on advancing initiatives aimed at supporting Kenya’s digital economy agenda and expanding access to digital and financial services.

According to Airtel Kenya, the engagement explored strategies to enhance connectivity, drive innovation, and deepen financial inclusion across the country. The discussions also underscored the role of public-private sector collaboration in enabling sustainable digital growth.

The visit reflects ongoing dialogue between industry stakeholders and the Government of Kenya on strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure and fostering inclusive economic development.
