The
Rwanda ICT Chamber, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has hosted a
hybrid information session to introduce EdTech companies and ecosystem
stakeholders to the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship. The session
provided detailed guidance on the application process, eligibility
requirements, and benefits for participating companies.

During
the event, Rwanda ICT Chamber CEO Alex Ntale encouraged EdTech innovators to
leverage the Fellowship to scale their solutions and highlighted the value of
the EdTech Trust Seal as a mark of credibility within the sector. ISIMBI A.
Cherif from Carnegie Mellon University Africa emphasized the importance of
learning sciences in developing sustainable and impactful educational
technologies.

Eliud
Chemweno of the Mastercard Foundation delivered closing remarks, affirming that
the Fellowship is specifically designed to support and empower Rwanda’s EdTech
community, fostering growth, innovation, and ecosystem development.
