cBrain’s
Director for New Markets and Partners, Niels Tanderup Kristensen, has concluded
a working visit to Ghana focused on assessing digital infrastructure and
strengthening institutional partnerships across key public sector agencies.
During
the visit, cBrain carried out a comprehensive IT gap analysis at the Ghana
Meteorological Agency (GMeT), evaluating the agency’s hardware systems,
software environment, and process management frameworks. The assessment
examined existing data flows and operational structures, with discussions
centred on transitioning from fragmented systems and manual workflows toward
automated data collection, real-time reporting, and enhanced forecasting
capabilities.

Kristensen
noted that strengthening meteorological data systems is critical to multiple
sectors, including agriculture, aviation, disaster preparedness, and climate
resilience, underscoring the role of digital modernization as a component of
national infrastructure.
The
delegation also met with officials from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority
(GCAA), where engagements focused on the importance of reliable meteorological
data, integrated reporting mechanisms, and secure digital systems to support
aviation safety and operational efficiency.
Additional
meetings were held with the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) and
the National Communications Authority (NCA), aimed at exploring opportunities
for collaboration within Ghana’s broader digital transformation agenda.

As
part of the visit, cBrain aligned strategic priorities with its local partner,
Omni Strategies. The engagements were complemented by diplomatic interactions,
including a meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Ghana. The Embassy of
Denmark in Ghana also hosted a business dinner bringing together potential
institutional stakeholders, including representatives from the Lands Commission
and the National Identification Authority.
Kristensen
emphasized that digital transformation initiatives extend beyond technology
deployment, highlighting the interconnected roles of governance, institutional
capacity, and cross-sector partnerships in advancing sustainable modernization
efforts.
