Yas Tanzania has recognised the efforts of the e-Government Authority (eGA) in strengthening government ICT systems and advancing the country’s digital transformation agenda.

In a statement, the telecommunications provider praised the progress made in modernising public sector digital infrastructure, noting that ongoing improvements are enhancing operational efficiency, expanding access to public services, and supporting the development of an inclusive e-Government framework.

Yas Tanzania highlighted its continued investments in communications infrastructure, including the expansion of 4G and 5G networks across both urban and rural areas. The company stated that its objective is to ensure that government digital services remain fast, secure, and reliable, while enabling public institutions to operate more effectively.

According to the company, its network coverage now reaches more than 95% of Tanzania’s population, providing connectivity solutions that support digital service delivery and institutional performance.

Yas Tanzania emphasised the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in accelerating national digitalisation efforts. The provider reaffirmed its commitment to working with government institutions to support the National Development Vision 2050, which prioritises innovation, technology adoption, and investment as drivers of economic modernisation.

The recognition reflects the growing role of partnerships between regulators, government agencies, and technology providers in shaping Tanzania’s evolving digital economy.
