The
Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has engaged in discussions on
potential research collaboration following a visit by Nigeria’s Minister of
Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

The
meeting focused on identifying areas of mutual interest and opportunities for
advancing joint research initiatives. The programme featured presentations and
exchanges with representatives from key Norwegian institutions, including
Norfund, Norad, Peace Research Institute Oslo, and SINTEF Digital.
Participants
explored frameworks for cooperation spanning scientific research, innovation,
and digital development. Discussions were described as constructive, with
emphasis on strengthening cross-border knowledge exchange and fostering
partnerships that support technology-driven solutions.

Officials
highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue in shaping collaborative
projects capable of addressing emerging challenges within the digital and
scientific ecosystems.
The
engagement signals a shared commitment to deepening international research
cooperation and advancing innovation-led development efforts.
