The Orange CI Foundation has reiterated its commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s education sector following a working session with the Minister of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, N’Guessan Koffi.

The meeting, held on February 16, 2026, brought together ministry officials and a delegation from the Foundation led by its Director, Bamba Habib. Discussions focused on reviewing the Foundation’s longstanding interventions in education and exploring avenues to deepen collaboration with the Ministry.

During the session, the Orange CI Foundation presented an assessment of its key initiatives implemented since 2006. These include programmes aimed at promoting digital inclusion, such as providing computer equipment, establishing educational digital spaces, and supporting school communities.

Minister N’Guessan Koffi welcomed the Foundation’s sustained engagement in the development of Ivorian schools and outlined the Ministry’s strategic priorities. He emphasized the need to reduce the deficit in school infrastructure, accelerate the rehabilitation and equipment of existing facilities, and strengthen the effective integration of digital tools into teaching and learning processes.

Particular attention was given to enhancing digital competencies among teachers, students, and education personnel. The Minister underscored that building digital capacity remains central to the broader modernization of the national education system.

The Minister expressed the Ministry’s expectation that the Orange CI Foundation would support the implementation of structuring projects spanning both infrastructure development and training initiatives. Both parties agreed to continue technical consultations to identify priority areas of intervention and define an operational framework for future cooperation.

“Our ambition is to mobilize all stakeholders around our vision of ‘Côte d’Ivoire at School,’” Minister N’Guessan Koffi stated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to advancing educational access and quality through strategic partnerships.
