Rwanda’s impressive digital transformation achievements were highlighted during a visit by H.E. Eugene Segore Kayihura, Rwanda’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, to the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) headquarters in Riyadh.

Deemah AlYahya, Founding Secretary-General of the DCO, congratulated Rwanda on its election to the DCO’s 2026 Executive Committee, recognizing the country’s strong commitment to digital innovation and regional leadership. With over 90% mobile money penetration and more than 200 digitized public services, Rwanda is emerging as a digital powerhouse in Africa.

Rwanda’s performance in digital adoption is notable, with 78.4% in health and education and 76.3% in work and training, according to the DCO Digital Economy Navigator.

The election underscores Rwanda’s active engagement in DCO initiatives, including Diplomatic Liaisons Meetings, and reinforces collaborative efforts toward advancing digital prosperity across member states.
