Danish Minister visits Rwanda’s largest EV charging depot

Mpinganzima Mugabo has welcomed Hon. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark’s Minister
of Foreign Affairs, and his delegation to BasiGo’s charging depot, now Rwanda’s
largest in terms of charging capacity.
The
visit showcased the tangible results of strategic climate finance partnerships,
demonstrating how international support can drive sustainable infrastructure
and innovation. With backing from the Government of Denmark and Ireme Invest,
BasiGo is spearheading Rwanda’s transition to clean mobility, converting
investment into operational capacity and measurable environmental impact.
The
engagement underscored the potential of catalytic investment to accelerate a
greener economy, highlighting the importance of collaboration between
governments, private enterprises, and development partners in delivering
sustainable solutions.
