The inaugural edition of Visa Connect Francophone Africa brought together financial sector stakeholders, business leaders, and regional delegations to discuss the future of digital payments and financial innovation across Francophone Africa.

The event served as a platform for strategic dialogue on the evolving payments landscape, emphasizing collaboration, execution, and leadership as critical drivers of sustainable growth. Participants engaged in business discussions centered on advancing payment technologies, strengthening partnerships, and delivering measurable impact for consumers and businesses.

Delegations from Cameroon, Gabon, and the Central African Republic were among those represented, contributing to exchanges on market development, digital transformation, and opportunities for expanding financial inclusion.

In addition to plenary sessions, the forum facilitated bilateral engagements between clients, partners, and Visa’s regional leadership team, reflecting a growing emphasis on pragmatic, impact-oriented initiatives within the payments ecosystem.

Discussions extended beyond innovation to address implementation challenges, leadership priorities, and the need for solutions capable of generating tangible economic and social outcomes.

The presence of cultural figures, including A’Salfo, underscored broader themes of leadership, resilience, and cross-sector collaboration, highlighting the intersection between technology, business, and societal development.

Organizers described the first edition of Visa Connect Francophone Africa as a step toward deepening regional cooperation and shaping the next phase of payments evolution on the continent.
