The
Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) has hosted a delegation from the
Embassy of Ukraine to Botswana, led by Ambassador Dr. Oleksiy Syvak, in a visit
aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement in innovation, investment and
sustainable development.

The
meeting provided a platform for dialogue on potential areas of collaboration
aligned with shared interests in technology-driven growth, knowledge exchange
and the development of high-impact industries in Botswana. Discussions focused
on opportunities to build strategic partnerships that can support
entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems and long-term economic development.
The
delegation was received by BDIH Board Chairperson Ikanyeng Molemele, Acting
Chief Executive Officer Diane Mongudi and members of the BDIH management team,
who outlined the hub’s mandate and ongoing initiatives to position Botswana as
a regional centre for innovation.

The
visit concluded with a guided tour of the Icon Building, offering the
delegation insights into BDIH’s infrastructure, facilities and its role in
supporting startups, innovators and investors within Botswana’s innovation
ecosystem.
