Ghana’s MobileMoney CEO wins Fintech CEO of the Year Award

Chief
Executive Officer of MobileMoney LTD, Shaibu Haruna has been named Fintech CEO
of the Year at the Global Leadership Gathering Million Dollar Challenge Awards.
The accolade recognizes his leadership in advancing Ghana’s fintech sector, particularly through the expansion of mobile payments, digital lending, and initiatives to combat digital fraud during 2025.
Under
Haruna’s leadership, MobileMoney LTD implemented programs including the
MomoTrust campaign and 'Shine Your Eye', contributing to the company’s growth
and strengthened customer trust.
Appointed CEO in 2022, Haruna brings over 25 years of commercial experience across Africa and the Middle East, with the past 18 years focused on telecoms and digital services, leading transformation efforts in Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.
Haruna
congratulated the runners-up from Zambia and Rwanda and dedicated the award to
MobileMoney staff and stakeholders, acknowledging their role in the company’s
achievements.
