The
2026 MTN Global Leadership Gathering convened under the theme “Digital
Solutions for Africa’s Progress – 3 Platforms, One MTN,” bringing together
senior executives to reaffirm the company’s strategic direction and purpose.

Group
President Ralph Mupita presented the “3 Platforms, One MTN” vision, which
focuses on Connectivity, Fintech, and Digital Infrastructure, all anchored in
the company’s Ambition 2030 strategy. He emphasized that while MTN’s strategy
remains consistent, execution must be sharper, more integrated, and
future-ready, driven by leading customer experience, transformative use of
artificial intelligence, and shared value at the core of operations.
Group
Fintech CEO Serigne Dioum highlighted the responsibility of MTN’s fintech
business in creating an ecosystem that enables customers to access financial
services with dignity.

Throughout
the gathering, members of the Group Executive Committee stressed that MTN’s
work positions the company as a key architect of Africa’s progress. Themes that
emerged included the importance of humility, seizing opportunities amidst
challenges, pioneering innovation rather than following established playbooks,
and ensuring digital inclusion to prevent the continent from becoming a digital
underclass.

Executives
also underscored that MTN’s success depends on disciplined execution, reminding
participants that the company’s achievements are entirely in its own hands. The
gathering reinforced MTN’s commitment to delivering value, opportunity, and
transformative digital solutions across Africa.
