Airtel
Nigeria has conducted a high-level inspection tour of the Nxtra Data Centre
under development at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, marking a key milestone in the
company’s infrastructure expansion strategy. The visit was led by Airtel
Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Dinesh Balsingh, alongside the Chief Executive
Officer of Nxtra by Airtel Africa, Yashnath Issur, and was attended by key
stakeholders and members of the media.

The
inspection provided an update on the progress of what is set to become
Nigeria’s largest data centre. The 34-megawatt facility, being developed by
Nxtra by Airtel Africa, is designed as a sustainable and scalable
infrastructure hub to support cloud services, enterprise operations, and
high-performance connectivity through secure and resilient digital systems.
During
the tour, Airtel Nigeria highlighted the strategic importance of the data
centre in strengthening network quality, safeguarding data, and enabling the
reliable delivery of digital services at scale. The project is positioned to
meet growing demand for data across multiple sectors, including finance,
technology, and public services.

The
Eko Atlantic data centre underscores Airtel Nigeria’s continued investment in
future-ready digital infrastructure aimed at supporting innovation, economic
growth, and the long-term development of Nigeria’s digital economy.
