The
Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute has signed a cooperation agreement
with Cheche Technologies aimed at strengthening collaboration in technology
development, human resource capacity building and other technology-enabled
initiatives.
The
agreement sets a framework for joint efforts to support Ethiopia’s digital
transformation by fostering innovation and applying technology to address
national development challenges. Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Director
General of the Institute, Dr. Werku Gachena, stated that the Institute is ready
to work closely with private technology institutions to accelerate the growth
of the local technology ecosystem. He noted that the partnership will focus on
leveraging technology to provide practical solutions to the country’s
socio-economic needs.

Cheche
Technologies General Manager, Mr. Redwan Aman, said the company is committed to
contributing to Ethiopia’s digital journey and expressed appreciation for the
opportunity to collaborate with the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence
Institute. He emphasized the importance of partnerships that bring together
public institutions and private innovators to build sustainable digital
capabilities.
