The
Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs has launched
a strategic institutional seminar in January 2026, signaling a new phase in the
transformation of Senegal’s media, digital and postal sectors.
The
retreat follows a year marked by structural reforms in 2025 and shifts the
focus firmly toward implementation. Authorities have positioned 2026 as a year
of active delivery, emphasizing concrete projects, visible outcomes and
measurable impact on the daily lives of Senegalese citizens.

Unlike
a conventional policy forum, the seminar is structured as a strategic
production meeting. Discussions are centered on identifying priority projects,
developing costed and time-bound action plans, assigning clear responsibilities
and deploying effective management and monitoring tools to ensure disciplined
execution.
The
seminar is aligned with Senegal Vision 2050 and key national policy frameworks,
including the New Technological Deal, the LPSD 2025–2029 and the DPPD
2026–2028. These alignments are intended to ensure coherence between long-term
national ambitions and near- to medium-term sectoral actions.

Through
this initiative, the Ministry’s leadership has committed to a results-driven
approach anchored in accountability, rigor and close project monitoring. The
process is designed to translate strategic orientations into tangible outcomes
that advance national sovereignty, strengthen competitiveness and promote
digital and social inclusion.
