The
Middle East Space Conference 2026 wrapped up after three days of high-level
discussions focused on shaping the region’s next chapter in space development.
The conference brought together government officials, industry leaders,
academia, and investors to explore strategies for advancing space capabilities
across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

On
the final day, participants emphasized the importance of positioning Oman and
neighboring countries to attract private investment as a key driver for
national space initiatives. Discussions highlighted the need for collaboration
between public institutions, incubators, accelerators, and industry-backed
platforms to turn innovation into viable space enterprises.
A
notable outcome of the conference was the signing of a cooperation agreement
between ETCO SPACE and Sohar University, signaling strengthened links between
academia and the commercial space sector. Speakers also stressed the importance
of human capital development, calling for enhanced STEM education and
engagement of students to prepare the next generation of space professionals in
the region.

Organizers
Novaspace, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and
Information Technology of Oman, expressed appreciation to all speakers,
sponsors, partners, and participants for their contributions, noting that the
conference underscored the MENA region’s expanding influence in the global
space ecosystem.
