Microsoft
South Africa and SABC Plus have announced a new partnership aimed at delivering
AI literacy and digital skills training to millions of South Africans. The
announcement was made during the Microsoft AI Tour in Johannesburg.
The
collaboration will integrate AI and digital skills content into the SABC Plus
platform, making learning more accessible to learners, educators, and job
seekers nationwide. The initiative supports Microsoft’s broader commitment to
train one million South Africans by 2026, equipping participants with skills
necessary for an AI-driven economy.
By
providing on-demand access to AI and digital education, the partnership seeks
to reduce the digital divide, enhance employability, and prepare the country
for future economic opportunities in technology and innovation.
