The
leadership of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has held a high-level
engagement with the newly appointed Board Chair of the National Communications
Authority (NCA), Mavis Ampah Sintim-Misa, and the Acting Director General,
Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, in a meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration
within the telecommunications sector.

The
dialogue was described as candid and forward-looking, marking an important
reset in relations between industry and regulator. Discussions focused on
rebuilding investor confidence, providing clarity on regulatory direction, and
addressing long-standing structural constraints affecting the telecoms
industry.
Both
parties reaffirmed a shared commitment to deeper collaboration to position
telecommunications as a strategic enabler of Ghana’s broader economic agenda,
particularly in the areas of digitalisation, innovation and national security.

The
Chamber underscored its readiness to work closely with the NCA Board Chair and
Management to co-create the next phase of development for Ghana’s digital
ecosystem, with an emphasis on resilience, inclusiveness and sustainable
growth.
