Former
Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has participated in the Accra
Reset, a high-level initiative aimed at redesigning development cooperation for
the Global South amid geopolitical tensions, constrained public finances, and
weakened financial institutions.

Convened
by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and led by H.E. John Mahama, President of
Ghana, the dialogue focused on transforming well-meaning pledges into
actionable, scalable partnerships. Participants discussed strategies to align
policy with patient capital, mobilize domestic resources, and strengthen
institutions to deliver resilient, people-centered growth.

Prof.
Osinbajo engaged with global leaders including Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
of the WHO, H.E. Kashim Shettima, Vice President of Nigeria, Hon. James Marape,
Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Julien Paluku Kahongya, DRC Minister for
International Trade, Nigeria’s Finance Minister Wale Edun, and Samaila Zubairu
of the African Finance Corporation.
The
discussions underscored that collaboration, credibility, and effective
execution are key to addressing the development challenges facing the Global
South.
