Irembo
has hosted the World Bank Regional Director for Digital and Artificial
Intelligence, Dr. Michel Rogy for a courtesy visit and high-level discussions
focused on advancing public service delivery through digital transformation.
The engagement also included the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda
Information Society Authority and representatives from the Ministry of
Infrastructure.
The
discussions centred on the principle of “Zero Trip, Zero Paper,” with
participants examining approaches to mass service digitization and the role of
artificial intelligence as a catalyst for transforming public services. The
exchange explored how digital solutions can reduce administrative burdens,
improve efficiency, and enhance access to government services for citizens.
The
meeting further examined the development of robust digital public
infrastructure capable of enabling governments to deliver efficient, scalable,
and citizen-centric services. Emphasis was placed on building systems that
support innovation, interoperability, and long-term sustainability in public
administration.
The
engagement reflected a shared commitment among stakeholders to harness digital
technologies and AI to modernize service delivery and strengthen government
capacity in Rwanda.
