The
Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Savannah Maziya has received
a courtesy call from a delegation led by Mr. Abdurakhmanov Khydyrberdi
Bayrammyradovich, Founder and Owner of Aydyn Gijeler Holding LTD of
Turkmenistan, as part of ongoing engagements to strengthen international
cooperation in the ICT sector. The delegation was accompanied by His Excellency
Thami Dlamini, who is facilitating the visit.
The
engagement follows the Minister’s official visit to Turkmenistan during His
Majesty King Mswati III’s State Visit last year, during which she toured Aydyn
Gijeler Holding’s manufacturing plant specializing in ICT and electronics
solutions.
During
the meeting, Minister Maziya outlined Eswatini’s vision of positioning the
country as a regional hub for innovation in information and communications
technology. She noted that this ambition is underpinned by political stability,
peace, and an enabling investment climate, while reaffirming government’s
commitment to digital transformation, youth empowerment, and skills
development.
The
Minister also commended the leadership and foresight of His Majesty King Mswati
III in fostering a secure, stable, and investor-friendly environment that
continues to attract strategic partnerships.
The
Ministry of ICT reiterated its commitment to engaging with global partners to
advance inclusive digital growth and sustainable development that delivers
tangible benefits for emaSwati.
