The
Kenya School of Government (KSG) has engaged Huawei in discussions aimed at
advancing its ICT and digital transformation agenda, as part of efforts to
position the institution as a future-ready and regionally competitive school of
government.
Director
General of the Kenya School of Government, Prof. Nura Mohamed, met a Huawei
delegation led by Mr. Jerry Wang, Director of the Government and Public
Business Department, where he received a detailed report on the current status
of ICT and digital transformation across KSG campuses. The report followed a
Huawei-led survey that assessed existing ICT infrastructure and identified
priority areas for improvement to inform the development of the School’s ICT
Master Plan.

The
engagement forms part of KSG’s broader strategy to leverage digital
technologies, resilient ICT systems and clean energy solutions to enhance
learning delivery, institutional efficiency and service excellence. Discussions
focused on aligning the proposed partnership with national priorities,
particularly the Government of Kenya’s Digital Transformation agenda and the
evolving needs of the public service.
Key
areas under consideration include the adoption of smart campus solutions,
strengthening of ICT infrastructure, digital enablement of services, improved
governance systems, sustainability initiatives and enhanced operational
efficiency.
KSG
reaffirmed its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that drive
innovation and support the transformation of public service leadership and
capacity development in Kenya and the wider region.
