Vodacom
Tanzania Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young women with
future-ready digital skills through its Code Like a Girl programme, with the
graduation of a new cohort of participants in Dar es Salaam.
At
a graduation ceremony held in the city, Vodacom Tanzania Plc Learning and Youth
Specialist, Samwel Komba, presented certificates to programme graduates in
recognition of their successful completion of the digital and coding skills
training. Among the beneficiaries was Anneth Sianga, who completed the
programme alongside other young women.

The
Code Like a Girl initiative is implemented in partnership with dLab and is
designed to increase female participation in science, technology, engineering
and mathematics (STEM) fields. Through the programme, participants are equipped
with practical coding and digital competencies aligned with the demands of
today’s technology-driven economy.
Vodacom
Tanzania Plc stated that the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to
promote digital inclusion and support the development of a skilled workforce,
particularly among young women who remain underrepresented in the technology
sector.

The
company reiterated its commitment to working with partners to expand access to
digital skills training and create opportunities that enable young women to
participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
