Telecom has taken a major step in transforming education in Mauritius with the
pilot launch of the mytGPT Education Project. The launch event was attended by
Devendre Gopaul, Senior Chief Executive, Ricaud Auckbur, Chief Technical
Officer from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource, and Veemal Gungadin,
CEO of Mauritius Telecom.

A
live demonstration at James Burty David Secondary School showcased the
platform’s capabilities, providing educators and students with a first-hand
experience of its potential. Developed by Mauritius Telecom, the mytGPT
Educational Platform integrates an AI-powered personal tutor into classrooms,
designed to strengthen learning outcomes, support teachers, and help students
advance in their studies.

The
initiative marks a significant milestone in the digital transformation of
education in Mauritius, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in
enhancing teaching and learning.
