As
part of efforts to expand access to the Angosat-2 satellite, the GGPEN
commercial team has visited the headquarters of NetKieto in Cacuaco under the
Conecta Angola program. The initiative aims to facilitate internet provision in
remote areas through ANGOSAT-2’s capabilities.
The
visit follows Angola’s recent inauguration of a commercial access hub at the
Satellite Control and Mission Center in Funda, enabling startups, ISPs, and
telecom operators to directly leverage the satellite for VSAT-based internet
services.

NetKieto
expressed interest in joining the project to promote digital inclusion, reduce
costs, accelerate the digital economy, and support the growth of the country’s
satellite telecommunications market.
GGPEN
also welcomed representatives from Telelink at the Conecta Angola Comercial
showroom. The company, active in the market for four years, indicated interest
in selling internet services via Angosat-2, further reinforcing the program’s
goal of massifying internet access across Angola.
The
Conecta Angola Comercial project represents a key government initiative to
expand connectivity and bridge the digital divide, particularly in underserved
regions.
