Airtel
Congo has inaugurated a new electronic communications antenna in the locality
of EHOTA, located in the District of Tchikapika–EHOTA, marking another step in
efforts to expand digital connectivity across the country.
The
commissioning ceremony was attended by Advisors to the President of the
Republic, members of the government, the Sub-Prefect, local administrative
authorities, and community leaders. Also present were directors general, senior
executives, traditional notabilities, the Eborebas of EHOTA, and members of the
local population, underscoring the significance of the project for the area.

Airtel
Congo was represented at the event by its Managing Director, Mr. Djibril Tobe,
who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to reducing digital isolation and
ensuring inclusive access to communication services. He emphasized that
extending network coverage to underserved and remote communities remains
central to Airtel Congo’s mission.
The
newly inaugurated antenna is expected to improve mobile voice and data services
in EHOTA and surrounding areas, supporting socio-economic activities, enhancing
access to information, and strengthening communication links for residents.
The
project aligns with Airtel Congo’s broader strategy of connecting all
territories without exception, contributing to national development goals
through improved digital infrastructure and connectivity.
