Nigerian
Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) has hosted a delegation from its
parent ministry, the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital
Economy, on an oversight visit to the company’s Ground Station as part of
ongoing efforts to strengthen national digital infrastructure.

The
delegation was led by Engr. Joseph Anagonye, Director of Spectrum Management at
the Ministry, and was received by the Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer of NIGCOMSAT, Ms. Jane Egerton-Idehen, alongside members of her
management team.
During
the visit, officials assessed NIGCOMSAT’s satellite infrastructure and reviewed
its innovative systems to determine their alignment with Nigeria’s digital
infrastructure development and connectivity objectives. The engagement provided
an opportunity for the Ministry to gain first-hand insight into the operational
capabilities of the national satellite operator and its role in supporting
government priorities.

NIGCOMSAT
said the visit reflects its continued commitment to deploying satellite
technology in support of national development goals, while contributing to the
Ministry’s vision of building a robust, inclusive and innovative digital
ecosystem across the country.
