Orange
Maroc has concluded the first edition of the Hackathon Afric’Artech, a two-day
event held at the École des Beaux-Arts de Casablanca, bringing together talents
from the artistic and technological communities to explore innovation at the
intersection of art and technology.

The
hackathon was organised around the theme “Augmented Humanity: Africa at the
Crossroads of Art & Technology” and provided a platform for participants to
collaborate, experiment and develop creative solutions through an intensive
programme of ideation, creative sprints, prototyping and final project pitches.
Throughout
the event, the Orange Digital Center supported participating teams through its
experts, offering guidance on idea structuring, project coaching, concept
validation and preparation of final presentations. The initiative aimed to
foster collaboration illustrating how artistic expression and technological
innovation can converge to address contemporary challenges.

According
to Orange Maroc, the hackathon highlighted the energy, creativity and
collaborative spirit of young innovators, while demonstrating the potential of
collective intelligence to shape future-oriented solutions.
The
winning projects from the hackathon will be announced during the first edition
of Afric’Artech, scheduled to take place on January 29 and 30, 2026, in
Casablanca.
