The
Founding General Manager of Angola’s Space Program and SADC Satellite Chair, Zolana
Joao, has participated in discussions during the launch of Symphony Space in Washington, DC,
engaging with leading experts on space policy and the global space economy.

The
event, hosted at the Atlantic Council, provided a platform to examine the
evolving roles of governments and the commercial sector in shaping
international space governance. Dr. Joao emphasized the growing importance of
coordination and diplomacy as foundational elements for enabling sustainable
space infrastructure and development.
Expressing
gratitude to the Symphony Space team for the invitation, Dr Zolana Joao
highlighted the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from the global space
community and engage in substantive discussions on policy, commercial
collaboration, and strategies for advancing the space economy.

He
congratulated the Symphony Space leadership team, including Merry Walker and
Nicolas Maubert, and acknowledged the contributions of peers such as Ivandro
Alves Peterson Rodrigues, underscoring the collaborative effort behind the
initiative. The launch marks a significant step in fostering dialogue and
cooperation among key stakeholders in the international space sector.
