Minister
of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Falah Al-Saghrouni has
received the Vice President of the Dakhla-Wadi Al-Dahab Region, Mr. Buttal
Al-Mubaraki to follow up on the implementation of two strategic agreements
signed in November 2025. The meeting emphasized ongoing cooperation to advance
projects in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, digital
sovereignty, the digital economy, and skills development.
The
first project focuses on the establishment of the Igudar Dakhla green data centers,
with a capacity of up to 500 MW, powered entirely by renewable energy. The
initiative is designed to position Dakhla as a future hub for data services and
a low-carbon digital economy.
The
second project involves the creation of the Al-Jazari Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Energy Transition,
which will serve as a centre for training, research, innovation support, and
the integration of artificial intelligence into energy development.
These
projects mark a new phase in the region’s integrated development strategy,
aligning with Morocco’s national objectives to strengthen digital sovereignty
and promote a sustainable, green economy.
