The
Chief Executive Officer of Big Win Philanthropy, Dr. Kestebehan Admasu, has
paid a visit to the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute as part of
efforts to explore potential areas of collaboration in advancing artificial
intelligence-driven development in Ethiopia.

Dr.
Admasu was received by the Director General of the Institute, Dr. Werku
Gachena, who provided a detailed briefing on the Institute’s mandate, ongoing
projects, and achievements in the field of artificial intelligence. The
discussions focused on how AI is being applied to address national priorities
and strengthen Ethiopia’s position in the global technology landscape.
Following
the briefing, Dr. Admasu expressed satisfaction with the progress and
capabilities of the Institute. He noted that Big Win Philanthropy is well
positioned to support initiatives in key sectors such as health, agriculture,
and education, particularly as Ethiopia continues to build globally competitive
capacity in artificial intelligence.
As
part of the visit, Dr. Admasu toured the Institute’s headquarters, including
its product demonstration rooms and the AI Startup Center, gaining insight into
ongoing innovations and startup-driven solutions emerging from the ecosystem.
