Space42
has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Fund for
Houbara Conservation (IFHC) to support the protection and monitoring of Houbara
birds through the use of artificial intelligence and drone technologies.
The
signing ceremony was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and
Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and His Excellency Mansoor AlMansoori, Chairman of
Space42. The MoU was signed by Mr. Hasan AlHosani, Chief Executive Officer of
Smart Solutions at Space42, and Mr. Mohammed Al Matoua Al Dhaheri, Acting
Director-General of IFHC.
Under
the agreement, Space42 will deploy AI-enabled drones to support the monitoring
of Houbara bird movement patterns and habitats. The company will also provide
field logistics management to enhance data collection and analysis, enabling
more accurate and timely insights to inform conservation strategies.
The
collaboration underscores the growing role of geospatial intelligence in
environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. By integrating advanced
AI analytics with drone technology, the initiative aims to strengthen long-term
ecological sustainability efforts while supporting data-driven conservation
planning.

vulnerable wildlife species and the preservation of natural ecosystems.
