Orange
Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships and
advancing the country’s digital agenda following a series of high-level
engagements led by its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Madam Aïcha
Touré.

Shortly
after her arrival in Sierra Leone, Madam Touré embarked on courtesy visits to
senior government officials, regulatory authorities, and key industry
stakeholders. The engagements formed part of her introduction to the local
ecosystem and provided an opportunity to discuss priority areas for
collaboration in telecommunications, digital inclusion, and national
development.
The
meetings highlighted Orange Sierra Leone’s strategic focus on deepening
cooperation with public and private sector actors. Madam Touré emphasized the
importance of trust-based partnerships in expanding digital infrastructure,
improving service delivery, and supporting Sierra Leone’s broader digital
transformation objectives.

As
part of the transition, outgoing CEO Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah also met with
stakeholders to express his appreciation for the support and cooperation
extended to him throughout his tenure. He acknowledged the role of government
institutions, regulators, and partners in enabling Orange Sierra Leone to
achieve key milestones under his leadership.

The
leadership transition and accompanying engagements underscore Orange Sierra
Leone’s intention to remain a key development partner in the country. With a
renewed leadership mandate, the company aims to build on existing foundations
while accelerating initiatives that promote connectivity, innovation, and
inclusive digital growth across Sierra Leone.
